Emely + Rayni - Scharloo Wedding
Her bridesmaids floated from room to room, getting their hair & make up done and getting dressed. Emely was, after years of dating, travelling and so much laughter, plus a pandemic, a couple of lockdowns and 3 new wedding dates, marrying the man of her dreams. She exited her ‘bridal suite’ and took a deep breath, ready for the first look.
Emely and Rayni met in high school and remained friends for years until they went their separate ways. When their paths crossed again a few years later, they spent the entire night talking and, well, falling in love. Years later, during - another- lockdown, they decided they’d just try to have fun with whatever the day threw their way, and celebrate love, now. Glasses were raised in honour of their love…and their perfect day. With a surprise party in the middle of the road and a collection of short messages from all their friends and family that could not physically attend the wedding, the night turned out so incredibly special.
Emely and Rayni, ever since we first met, we’ve been looking forward to your special day. We were so honoured to be chosen as your wedding photographers and watching your love and laughter has been a testament to the notion of true love and soul mates. Spending a day like this with your friends and family is a blessing and we’re thankful to have you as clients…and friends.
The wedding day started at their part time home in Curacao and when I saw her gorgeous dress and wedding shoes, it was clear it was going to be a beautiful day!

I love when a bride and groom decide to see each other before the ceremony. It’s by far one on my favourite moments of the day. The couple has a moment just for the two of them, to admire and enjoy the moment together before they leave for the ceremony and have a busy day with all guests.
After the First Look, we headed to Kranshi for the ceremony…
After the wedding ceremony, we roamed the grounds of De Broeders, where they would later celebrate their reception, for some pictures of the newlyweds…
